I have a customer with a SMCD3G-CCR Modem/Router with Comcast Business with a static IP. I am trying to setup Sighthound to do remote access (to their security cameras) and am having problems. I understand that Sighthound needs port 8080 and 8848 to work (correct me if I am wrong).

Hi, I have Comcast Business with a Netgear CG3000DCR and have Sighthound working with it. I don't have anything setup to use port 8080 with Sighthound. I did setup port forwarding for 8848 though.

You can change the remote access port number to any free port number in the remote access settings page. Simply highlight the 8848 and enter a different number that is free (9090, 9000, and 9191 are often free). I'd recommend trying out a different port number and see if you can connect from outside the network.
