How do I access the library's electronic resources remotely?

OHSU faculty, staff, and enrolled students who have an OHSU network username and password can use them to access the Library's electronic resources remotely. Affiliate faculty who do not have an OHSU network username and password may access Library's electronic resources remotely using a barcode.

How do I access the OHSU website?

Is EZproxy the only way to access e-resources?

Generally, you do not need to use EZproxy if you are connected to OHSU’s wireless network, or are using a computer located within the OHSU network or a Library workstation. However, a few resources always require EZproxy.

How do I connect to EZproxy?

There is no need to install or configure any software. There is no "Log in" button to click on either.

Anyone with an OHSU network ID and password can access and borrow OHSU Library resources.

Your Library Account

Library accounts are automatically created for OHSU students, faculty, and staff. You can access your account from the main menu bar on the Library's home page or within the Library's catalog using your OHSU network ID and password. Your library account lists your current loans, requests, and fines or fees.

Textbooks and Course Reserves

Each academic term, the OHSU Library requests and receives textbook lists from instructors and academic programs, and we post the textbook lists on the Library's website .

Requesting Materials Not Owned by the OHSU Library

OHSU Library's Get It For Me is the combination of services often referred to as document delivery and interlibrary loan. The service provides OHSU members with no-cost access to materials owned and not owned by the OHSU Library.

Clinical Certification Resources

The OHSU Library and some academic programs provide no-cost access to licensing test prep materials, including books, question banks, and flashcards. This guide provides descriptions and links to test prep materials available through the OHSU Library and other units.

OHSU Historical Collections & Archives

Historical Collections & Archives (HC&A), part of the OHSU Library, is the home of OHSU's collections of rare books, archives, manuscripts, and artifacts. Serving the OHSU community and the general public, HC&A supports education and research using these unique collections.

Digital Collections

OHSU Digital Collections documents OHSU scholarship as well as the history of the institution and health sciences. The OHSU Library collects, manages, and disseminates various materials, including student scholarship, oral histories, digitized historical materials, and images for teaching and marketing.

How to use Find It at OSU?

To use the "Find it at OSU" service to connect to licensed resources, off-campus users must configure Google Scholar Settings to ensure routing through the proxy. Go to Google Scholar ( https://scholar.google.com/). Click on the menu button (top left). Click on Settings and then on Library Links.

How to access licensed resources off campus?

There are several ways to access licensed resources from off-campus: Use the off-campus sign-in by starting at the library homepage for the most reliable way to access licensed resources from off-campus.

What is a guest account at OSU?

Non-OSU users (Guest users) visiting our library locations can be issued a Guest Authentication account from staff at circulation desk to use public computers when available. Guest users must at time of request show a valid picture ID such as a U.S. driver's license, State of Ohio ID, School ID, or passport. The guest account authorization is only valid for the location where it is issued by the user. It is good for a set amount of time and will automatically expire at the end of that time period. Users are required to follow the policy on Responsible Use of University Computing and Network Resources.

Can you use proxy authentication on OSU?

Where is the Kennedy Library in Piscataway?

There is also a mini-store in Westergard Library, featuring the best of the books donated at that location. Kennedy Library is at 500 Hoes Lane in Piscataway and Westergard Library is off Stelton Road at 20 Murray Avenue.
