What services are available at Maastricht University?

This services are only available to UM students. The Maastricht University VPN – Virtual Private Network – connects your device safely to the university network. This is a service for UM staff working at remote locations. After having installed and activated the VPN connection, your device will communicate with the Internet via the UM VPN server.

When will the Randwyck library and learning spaces open?

The Randwyck Library and learning spaces at Tapijn, Tapijn Loods V and the University Sports Centre open as of 31 August. The opening hours can be found on umlib.nl/hours.

Do you need off-campus access to protected library resources?

Sometimes you need off-campus access to protected services and resources licensed by the library, like databases, e-journals and e-books for UM and MUMC+ students and staff members. Find out your options. You can access most of our licensed sources when connected to the UM network.

Looking back at 2021: Implementing and following up on Generic Research Data Management Trainings

In winter 2019, the Introduction to Research Data Management (RDM) course was part of the University Library’s RDM and FAIR data workshops (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). Since then, a cyberattack and global pandemic have taken place, which led us to reinvent the existing RDM module and create new ones.

Is the inner city library open?

As of 24 August the Inner City Library is open during regular hours to all UM students and scientists, in accordance with the Dutch government’s (RIVM) guidelines and UM protocol. The Randwyck Library and learning spaces at Tapijn, Tapijn Loods V and the University Sports Centre open as of 31 August. The opening hours can be found on umlib.nl/hours.
