ONSITE/REMOTE#N#This workshop prepares participants to transform a current course website from an informational resource to an interactive learning environment using the Blackboard Exemplary Course Programme rubric or another institutional rubric as a guide.

REMOTE#N#This remotely delivered service provides the client with help in configuring their Learn site in five two-hour sessions. The goal is to customise the site to serve their instructional goals and institutional structure. These sessions address configuration sessions via the GUI (Graphic User Interface) and will not cover technical topics, including but not limited to server maintenance and installation.

ONLINE#N#This course is designed to provide participants with a broad knowledge of accessibility issues. Participants will learn how disabilities can limit access to electronic instructional materials, and what they can do to make course content as accessible as possible.

This workshop covers Learn Original course experience. The modular based agenda allows you to pick and choose the modules to fit your course experience and/or participant level of knowledge. It provides hands-on instruction covering course-building, assessment, and communication tools. A variety of activities and best- practice discussions provide a thorough understanding of how to efficiently manage teaching tasks and create dynamic learning environments for students.

What is a faculty support service?

The Faculty Support Service is designed to provide one-on-one or small group support to an institution’s faculty, teachers or instructional staff. Through this personalized service, faculty with different levels of experience, knowledge, and expertise can expand their online teaching and learning skills by working directly with a Blackboard product expert. The sessions can be open office hours or webinar-style with chosen topics or hands-on assistance populating course shells or building assessments.

What are the roles in Blackboard?

Roles determine what a user can and can't do within Blackboard Learn. Administrators use roles to group privileges into sets that can be assigned to user accounts. Every user associated with a role has all of the privileges included in the role.

What is privileges page?

The Privileges page allows administrators to see all available privileges and the roles for which those privileges are permitted. Each privilege lists the role types and role IDs that have the privilege.

Who can be guests in a course?

Guests in a course can include guest lecturers, potential students, or other users who are not directly participating in your course.

Can you control guest and observer access?

Guests and observers are available in the Original Experience only. You can control whether or not the guest and observer roles have access to your course. There are multiple levels in the application that have guest access. For example, there is guest access to the system, to courses, and to organizations.

What is authorization set to bearer followed by?

What is a cURL request?

The cURL statement calls and HTTP POST request. This POST request contains an Authorization header that states this is Basic authentication.
